National Comprehensive Green Transition Assessment Report for Ukraine

The Green Transition Assessment offers a clear overview of the progress, opportunities, and challenges faced by Ukraine as it advances its green transition.

Emphasis is placed on sectors in Ukraine that are most critical for long-term sustainability and alignment with European standards. Rather than narrowly evaluating legislative requirements, the report provides a high-level analysis of sectoral dynamics within the country. These assessments serve as the groundwork for informed, collaborative, and actionable strategies toward a more sustainable future in Ukraine.

• Environmental and climate status and trends

• Policy frameworks and implementation tools

• Public sector capacity

• Non-governmental and private sector capabilities - technical, infrastructural, and skills-based

• Cross-cutting themes, including transition finance, research and innovation, digitalization, and ensuring a just transition
