Towards EU membership: greener and resilient Ukraine

The EU-Ukraine bilateral meeting on screening under the Chapter 27 “Environment and climate change” will take place in two weeks (June 16-20). Join the event organised within the EU Green Week in Brussels during which the following issues will be discussed:

  • How is Ukraine preparing to present its current status of alignment in Brussels?

  • What are the main achievements and gaps?

  • How to foster implementation of the EU acquis in the field of environment and climate change?

  • What are the main benefits for the EU from Ukraine’s EU membership?

  • How can Ukraine ensure a green post-war recovery and reconstruction using relevant EU mechanisms and instruments?

  • Who are the main stakeholders of the process, and what is the role of civil society?

Among the speakers are Svitlana Grynchuk, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine; a representative of ENVI Committee, European Parliament; DG ENEST; DG Environment; Resource and Analysis Center “Society and Environment”.

Virginijus Sinkevičius, MEP (Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance) will host and moderate the event.
