  • Bruxelles Belgium (map)

Organisers: Resource and Analysis Center "Society and Environment", European Environmental Bureau (EEB), Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine

Format: hybrid (offline and online)

The Russian aggression in Ukraine severely affects the environment, as well as leads to the formation of war waste. How much of this waste is there, and what to do with it? These questions will guide the discussion during the partner event taking place within the EU Green Week 2025.

During the event, speakers will discuss the importance of addressing the problem of war waste formation at the political, scientific, infrastructure and financial levels, and demonstrate the role of EU circularity policies to address the challenges in Ukraine related to the war.

Among the speakers are Svitlana Grynchuk, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, DG Environment, UNDP, and environmental NGOs.
