How local activists monitor the reconstruction of Ukraine: Irpin and Chernihiv

Organiser: Centre for Economic Strategy and Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting

Format: online

For a year now, experts of the project “The Recovery Spending Watchdog” have been checking reconstruction spending in Ukraine and procurement in this area on a monthly basis. In addition, they are implementing the “Reconstruction Monitoring” grant program, involving civil society organizations to review actual sites.

At this event, program participants will present examples of monitoring and share the challenges they have faced at reconstruction sites.

Together with government representatives and experts, they will also discuss whether the Build Back Better standards are being adhered to in the country’s reconstruction and how this principle is being practically implemented.
