The process of Ukraine’s accession negotiations to the EU is moving into a practical phase. At the same time, the success of this process depends not only on the technical implementation of the acquis, but also on political support in EU Member States.
In many EU countries, the level of awareness about Ukraine, its reforms, and the actual progress of negotiations remains limited. Public debate is often shaped by domestic political perspectives, economic concerns, or migration narratives.
This applies not only to governments, but also to civil society, business associations, environmental and sectoral organizations. The complexity of environmental reforms required for Ukraine’s EU accession makes it more difficult for European counterparts to obtain objective information about Ukraine’s level of preparedness in this area.
How can Ukrainian stakeholders effectively engage with European audiences to build support for Ukraine’s membership?
During the event, experts will discuss:
How can Ukrainian CSOs build sustainable partnerships with European ones?
Which formats of cooperation work best (joint position papers, advocacy campaigns, coalitions)?
How to formulate effective advocacy messages?
Representatives of civil society, European NGOs, Ukrainian public authorities, and experts are invited to join.
