Organisers: German Platform for Reconstruction of Ukraine, Build Ukraine Back Better Platform
Ukraine’s agricultural sector is a cornerstone of national food security and a key contributor to European and global markets that has been deeply disrupted by Russia’s full‑scale invasion. At the same time, EU integration and the green transition present a unique opportunity to modernise the sector, reduce its climate and environmental footprint, and build a more resilient, diversified and sustainable rural economy.
This second webinar in the series by the Build Ukraine Back Better Platform (BUBB) and the German Platform for the Reconstruction of Ukraine will explore priorities for transforming agriculture: from soil and water conservation to agroecological practices, sustainable livestock farming, and the development of small‑scale producers and local processing.
By bringing together Ukrainian experts, this webinar aims to demonstrate how sustainable agriculture can become a pillar of Ukraine’s recovery and EU accession. Participants will gain insight into practical reform pathways, opportunities for green investment in rural communities, and the enabling conditions needed to ensure that Ukraine’s agriculture—today under immense pressure—emerges stronger, more climate‑adapted, and better aligned with European sustainability standards.
