IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025: Outcomes for Ukraine

From October 9–15, the IUCN World Conservation Congress gathered over 10,000 participants in Abu Dhabi and online — the world’s largest forum for conservation policy and action. Although Ukraine is not yet a state member of IUCN, our NGOs made a remarkable impact. Representatives from the Ukrainian Nature Conservation Group (UNCG) NGO, Environment People Law, Nature Fund of Ukraine, Frankfurt Zoological Society / Zoologische Gesellschaft Frankfurt, Conflict and Environment Observatory, IISD—all members of the Build Ukraine Back Better Platform—brought Ukraine’s voice to the global stage.
