The Potential of Ukraine-EU Biomethane Cooperation

Organisers: Green Deal Ukraina, Forum Energii and Ukrainian Climate Office

Format: online

Ukraine has recently made biomethane a priority, seeing a high potential for export to the EU, among others. The country adopted a regulation in August 2024 that allows Ukrainian biomethane producers to export to the European Union through the country's gas transmission system, which is connected to four EU countries at interconnection points.

Green Deal Ukraїna, Forum Energii and the Ukrainian Climate Office have recently published a report on the potential of Ukraine-EU biomethane cooperation and are pleased to present it through this webinar, where panellists will share their perspectives and participants are invited to contribute to this webinar actively. The event will focus on the potential and obstacles as well as solutions for biomethane trade between the EU and Ukraine.
