Join the presentation of the new issue of the Monitoring of the IMF programme and EU assistance under the Ukraine Facility by the RRR4U consortium, which takes into account the results of the implementation of commitments as of December 2024. In addition, the event will include a special topic on corporate governance reform at state-owned enterprises.
On 19 November, the IMF mission completed its work in Ukraine on the sixth review of the EFF programme. IMF representatives and the Ukrainian authorities reached a staff-level agreement. The IMF Board of Directors must approve the agreement. After that, Ukraine will have access to funding of about USD 1.1 billion. Also in mid-November, the European Commission approved the allocation of EUR 4.1 billion to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility.
During the event, experts will present an assessment of the implementation of the IMF programme’s structural benchmarks and the indicators of the Ukraine Plan.
A special topic of the event will be the issue of corporate governance reform at state-owned enterprises. Back in February 2024, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on improving corporate governance of legal entities in which the state is a shareholder. The adoption of the law was one of the conditions for joining the EU and receiving a tranche from the IMF, as well as an indicator of the draft Plan for the Ukraine Facility programme. The implementation of this law is an urgent issue today. In addition, the Government has recently approved the state ownership policy, a key document for the reform of state-owned companies. The adoption of the state ownership policy is also one of the indicators of the Ukraine Facility Plan and a beacon of the memorandum with the IMF.
