Resilient against cold and darkness: Strengthening the Ukrainian energy system against Russian attacks

  • Berlin, BE Germany (map)

Organiser: Center for Liberal Modernity

Format: in person and online

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine's energy infrastructure has become a target of Russian attacks. Up until now, Russia has destroyed or occupied approximately nine gigawatts of Ukraine's power generation capacity — half of the electricity Ukraine needs in winter. If we do not act now, Ukraine faces a catastrophic winter.

What are the key steps to enhance energy security? How can European integration contribute to the goal of increasing the resilience of the Ukrainian energy system?

The event is part of the International Conference: “What Kind of Peace? Ukraine and Us”.

The conference languages are English and German.
