Join for an in-depth conversation on the green reconstruction of Ukraine's communities, focusing on practical approaches, challenges, and opportunities. Representatives of civil society and field experts will present their experiences with recovery initiatives, offering insights into the development of climate-conscious reconstruction projects and strategies in Ukrainian communities during the wartime.

The discussion will showcase both successful and unsuccessful examples of rebuilding efforts aimed at creating more resilient and sustainable infrastructure. Participants will also explore how innovative solutions in the energy sector, buildings, and public infrastructure can be scaled up to ensure a more sustainable and future-proof recovery process.

Discussion participants will share their insights into implemented recovery projects and provide their assessments and views regarding the following issues:

  • Green and climate-friendly reconstruction projects, concepts, and strategies in Ukrainian hromadas since 2022

  • Examples of effective and ineffective solutions for rebuilding a more resilient and sustainable infrastructure 

  • Mainstreaming good projects and practices to build back better the energy sector, buildings and infrastructure
