Open Call: Energy and Climate Leadership Training

Ukraine and Moldova, as candidate countries for EU accession, are expected in the coming years to adapt their national policies and regulatory frameworks to European energy and climate rules. The Energy and Climate Leadership Training aims to support professionals who seek to effectively contribute to the implementation of these tasks in their day-to-day work.

The programme provides a comprehensive understanding of EU energy and climate policy, from legislation and governance to markets, security of supply, and sustainability. It combines self-paced online learning with live sessions featuring experts from Ukraine and the EU.

Who is the programme for?
Decision-makers from Ukraine and Moldova working in the fields of energy and climate, with relevant professional experience, an English level of B1 or higher, and a strong motivation to enhance their contribution to the energy transition and the EU accession process.

What participants will gain:

  • an intensive online course focused on EU energy and climate policy;

  • direct interaction with experts and the opportunity to ask questions during live sessions;

  • a certificate of KECLab, jointly issued by Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB), Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA), and the Kyiv School of Energy Policy (KSEP);

  • access to a professional energy community and participation in high-level events, including the Green Deal Ukraina Conference in Kyiv.
