According to the World Bank, Ukraine needs over USD 500 billion for reconstruction and recovery after the war. A large share of this need is related to construction. But is the sector ready for large-scale reconstruction? Is the legal framework and its practical implementation adequate? What is important to understand, and what needs to change to prepare for major reconstruction while improving the situation today?
During the event, IER will present the results of a study on the main obstacles that construction companies face today. The conclusions are based on both a review of legislation and discussions with business and government representatives. The focus is on analyzing the factors that hinder the development of the construction sector and slow down the effective use of resources for reconstruction.
Government representatives and other stakeholders are warmly invited to join the discussion.
